Barack Obama's defining moment?

It’s as if President Obama climbed into a tank, put on his helmet, talked about how his foray into Cambodia was seared in his memory, looked at his watch, misspelled “potato” and pardoned Richard Nixon all in the same day. --Pat Sajak

Just listen. No, your ears don't deceive you:

Sajak continues:

...defining moments take hold most devastatingly when they confirm what a large portion of the electorate already believes...when voters are able to nod and say, ‘I knew it,’ these moments stick and do terrible damage.

In addition to being the host of Wheel of Fortune, Pat Sajak is a pretty smart cookie. He comes by it honestly; he and I come from the same neighborhood back in Chicago.

And he's right: we have to wonder whether this might be Barack Obama's defining moment- the moment when he confirmed what we always suspected about him, and lost the election in the process.
