Condi for Veep? Probably not.

TRumors have been flying the last forty-eight hours or so- Thanks to Matt Drudge, rumors have been flying in the last 24 hours or so that former Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Dr. Condoleeza Rice has become the front-runner to be Mitt Romney's running-mate.

She says she's not interested. And some conservative say "no way" to the pro-choice Rice, and despite an overwhelming desire on the Right to be rid of President Obama, Romney probably is too well aware that he himself is still looked at somewhat askance by many the Republican Right to risk it. Besides, she favors same-sex "marriage."

Juan Williams gushes about a Rice nomination being a "game changer." But I am not alone in my skepticism. My money is still on Marco Rubio, who has far more political upside than Dr. Rice, and practically no downside.
