Getting used to being disenfranchised

I would never vote or Gary Johnson, and I suspect most of those who say they will in yet another poll foreshadowing Donald Trump's defeat won't actually vote for him either. But that a pot-smoking fringe candidate with a half-liberal ideology can get 11% of the vote makes you wonder what a credible bid by a real conservative could produce.

Alas, it's becoming clearer and clearer that Mitt Romney- the one potential third-party candidate who might actually win- isn't going to change his mind and run. And it's even becoming clear that we're not even going to get some journalist or minor public figure to pick up the fallen conservative flag.

It's a pity, but I'm beginning to be reconciled to not having anybody to vote for this Fall.
