I can't say that I blame him. As any reader of Lovecraft knows, Cthulhu is not evil, but merely beyond the categories of human ethics. Kind of a cosmic sociopath.
Hmmm. On the other hand, let's not be hasty. Maybe King is on to something here after all! And remember that "much-discussed couplet" Lovecraft wrote about:
That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange eons even death may die.
Donald Trump can't stop eternally lying, either. Maybe Dread Cthulhu has more in common with Trump than he's willing to admit.
