He actually thinks he's King Donald I!

Here we go again.

Our constitutionally illiterate president has claimed a "constitutional authority" to unilaterally adjourn both houses of Congress and install his unconfirmed appointees through a recess appointment.

Admittedly recess appointments are a thing when the Senate is adjourned. And Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution grants the President the authority to adjourn one or both Houses- but only in the case of a disagreement between the Houses as to the timing of adjournment. The use of that authority in any other circumstances is neither sanctioned nor implied by the text of the Constitution, has no precedent, and would be unlikely to withstand a challenge in court.

Can any reasonable person question that this guy thinks that he's a king or a dictator?
