A reminder...
...of just what Charlie Liu (aka Bobby Fletcher, aka Bejing Bobby) spends so much of his time running all over the internet defending: a Chinese villager, resisting forcible relocation by the government, is crushed to death on orders from a government official (WARNING: even more graphic than the image to the left of Tiananmen Square- which Charlie claims was NOT a massacre!)
Charlie Liu, for those new to this blog, is an apologist for the Chinese government who has commented on this blog in the past. He's sort of what my good libertarian friend Jeff is to Ron Paul, except to the thugs who run China.
While I've had a number of "conversations" with Charlie, this one is probably our longest. It was initiated by an on-line article in which he falsely implied that he was a Christian, and praised religious freedom (!) in China.
He seems to be an American citizen, and claims to have been born in Taiwan. But oddly, his reaction to my speculation at one point that he's an officer in the People's Revolutionary Army was, "You can't prove that." He insinuates himself into all manner of discussions all over the web, and- like Jeff- never seems to tire in his defense of the indefensible.
